Watch this video if you do not know what the 14 club challenge is...

We are hosting our very own version of the 14 club challenge in the Golf Studio at Dunes

How it works: Competitors go head to head against each other to hit the green on a Par 3 hole in the Studio. The shot will be somewhere between 90 and 180 yards long.

  • Once a club has been used by one of the players it is not allowed to be used by their opponent.
  • Eg. Player A goes first and hits a 7iron. Player B cannot now use a 7 iron and will have to choose a different club. If Player B chose a 6 iron then that club will no longer be in play for either player. This continues until all 14 clubs (including the putter) have been used up...so 7 shots each.
  • 1 point is awarded for hitting the green with a shot and the winner is the player with the most points at the end.
  • Each division will play all of their matches on the same hole from the same tees.
  • A coin toss will decide which player plays first
  • 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw
  • In the event of a tie in the league, points for and against will decide a winner
  • Each game is assigned a total of 10 minutes for completion.
  • SHOT CLOCK – you have 40 seconds to play each shot. Failure to play your shot in the allotted time will class as a missed green and a club removed from your bag at the choice of your opponent.
  • Shots not picked up by the GC2 but will have clearly missed the green will be counted as a miss despite the GC2 not picking them up
